By PJ Valenciano Some brands are born from strategy—others, from a quiet truth that can no longer be silenced. KB Wellness is the latter.
When Kim Basa and I began her Brand Sprint Realignment, we weren’t simply redesigning visuals or drafting copy. We were honoring a transformation—one that began not with a rebrand, but with healing. This was a woman who had evolved in her inner life, her body, and her purpose. Her brand simply needed to catch up.
Kim and I went way back. From Wedding Glitters to Amaya Accents, I’ve watched her move through seasons of creativity and reinvention. But KB Wellness is something deeper. It’s a return. And this time, it began with energy work.
Before the Brand, There Was Healing
Kim entered the process through Healing from Within—my space for Reiki, intuitive guidance, and deep inner realignment. In our sessions, we didn’t speak of strategy or offers. We sat with presence. With what was rising. What was ready to be released?
Through these holistic sessions—Reiki, intuitive reflection, and body listening—she allowed the deeper parts of herself to surface: the stories she had hidden, the fatigue of always pushing forward, and the desire to finally build a brand that reflects who she truly is, without masks.
It was from this grounded state that our Brand Sprint began.
A Workbook That Became a Mirror
As part of the Sprint, Kim received a soul-led workbook—a space to gently uncover the voice beneath the layers. What emerged wasn’t just business insight. It was her essence.
She wrote of KB Wellness as the color blue: calm, transformative, nurturing. She shared how she had kept quiet about her own health journey, how she had dimmed her story out of fear of judgment. But she also shared her shift—her growing desire to speak with honesty, to show up not as a sales agent, but as a guide who walks her talk.
This was not branding in the traditional sense. This was soul work.
The Brand Evolved Because She Did
For many years, Kim was juggling it all—corporate leadership, entrepreneurial side projects, and caregiving. She used to be a Retail Manager in a highly stressful telecom business center and a Project Consultant in an IT company.
She finished my IIN health coach certification just last year August of 2024. Meanwhile, she started getting serious with Unicity business in 2017. Kim knew structure, strategy, and systems. She built teams. She nurtured people. She succeeded by conventional standards.
But underneath it all, a deeper calling stirred.
In 2018, she made the bold decision to transition fully into wellness, applying her training as a Certified Health Coach under the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) to date, and becoming a passionate advocate of science-based supplementation through Unicity. Her own family’s health crises had taught her that the conventional route wasn’t enough. She didn’t just want to manage symptoms—she wanted to help people truly heal.
That’s the soul of KB Wellness: holistic, grounded, and experience-led.
From Audit to Alignment
When we audited her brand, we realized something many founders experience: her visuals and structure no longer reflected the woman she had become. Her work had outgrown her materials. Her tone had matured. Her purpose had deepened.
We are now in the process of building her Brand Guidelines—not just for consistency, but to house her truth. These guidelines will reflect her calm strength, her gift for connection, and her genuine belief that health is not just about weight loss or blood tests, but about freedom—physical, emotional, and spiritual.
The KB Wellness Presence
Kim doesn’t sell wellness. She embodies it.
She shows up as a coach, but also as a daughter who stood by her mother post-stroke. As a woman who faced health issues herself. As someone who didn’t quit when things got hard—but who took every breakdown as a path to breakthrough.
Through the Feel Great System, her coaching, and her expanding network of integrative health professionals, KB Wellness has become more than a brand—it’s a space of care, knowledge, and real transformation. Her clients aren’t just buying a product. They’re walking into a relationship with someone who has been there.
For Founders Standing at the Threshold
If you’re reading this and feeling that your brand no longer matches the fullness of who you are, take a breath. Let this remind you that real branding is not about becoming more impressive. It’s about becoming more you.
Kim’s story is proof that healing leads the way.
And when we align our energy first, everything else flows from there.
